Business members are independently owned businesses and non-profits that have answered “yes” to all four questions below. Business members are entitled to all member benefits.

Affiliate Membership ($50 per year)
Affiliate members are non-profit organizations, professionals, or businesses that answered “no” to one or more of the questions below, but who support the ideals of LIBA and would like to be affiliated with the organization.

Friends of LIBA ($10 per year)
Friends of LIBA are individuals who support the mission and the goals of LIBA and its campaign. Friends of LIBA are encouraged to become volunteer, to recruit members, and spread the word about the importance of supporting local independent businesses in the Louisville community.

Business Members must be able to answer YES to each of the following questions:
- Is your business privately held? (not publicly traded) (yes or no)
- Is your primary place of business located in the Louisville metro area with no corporate or national headquarters outside this area? (yes or no)
- Can your business make independent decisions regarding the name and look of your business, as well as all business purchasing, practices and distribution? (yes or no)
- Do you pay all your own marketing, rent and other business expenses without assistance from, or payment to, a corporate headquarters? (yes or no)
