Everyone's favorite holiday contest is back!
LIBA's Shift Your Shopping contest is an easy and fun way to shop local for the #holLOUdays and to earn a chance to WIN! Here's how it works:
  • Shop at 5 LIBA Member businesses now through Jan. 5, 2015 and save your receipts. (You can enter as many times as you like, but ONLY receipts date stamped between Nov.19, 2014 and Jan. 5, 2015 will be accepted.)

  • Turn in each set of 5 receipts with an entry form at Revelry Boutique Gallery or any Feeders Supply location. Entry forms are located inside the Winter 2014 Buy Local Guide, or you can download here.

WIN AN ADDITIONAL $250

  • Simply tag your social media posts now through January 5, 2015 with #holLOUdays and be entered to win a $250 shopping spree at LIBA member businesses.
  • The drawings will take place on WAVE-3 Listens at noon on January 12, 2015.

OFFICIAL RULES
Only original store receipts dated 11/19/14 to 1/5/15 will be accepted. Receipts must include name of business and may only be submitted once. Receipts will be marked and returned if needed and verified at sponsor locations. Purchases must be from 5 different member businesses. A deposit slip from any member bank will count as a receipt. Louisville Water receipts can be paid admission to the WaterWorks Museum or purchase from gift shop, or a rental agreement. Receipts for credit purchases must be store receipts, not credit card statements. Entrants must be at least 18 years of age. Enter as many times as you like. All entries must be submitted by close of business 1-5-15. No purchase necessary (visit businesses to receive vouchers). Winners agree to have names and photos published. If you have any questions about the contest, email angela@keeplouisvilleweird.com. Drawing will be held Monday 1-12-15 during WAVE 3 Listens (at 12:30 pm). Winners also announced in our e-newsletter and website.

    The Louisville Economic Chamber of Commerce (Lou-E) is hosting its 16th Annual Holiday Taste and Business Expo, Tuesday, December 2nd at the Jeffersontown Community Center.

    More than 70 businesses, restaurants and caterers in the northeast Metro will participate in this holiday celebration, complete with holiday ideas and gifts, gourmet food and spirits samplings, discounts and giveaways, and a charity raffle.
     
    In addition to food, beverages and early bird shopping,  Flavorman and Moonshine University founder, Dave Dafoe, will present “From Blueberries to Bourbon- How Beverages are Created” at 5pm.

    Admission for the event is $10 per adult/$5 per child and can be paid upon entry. Major credit cards will be accepted.

    LIBA and The University of Louisville will take shoppers on a Dec. 5 tour of local shops and restaurants during the fourth annual Holiday Cards Buy Local Shopping Tour.

    The $35 registration fee includes opening and closing receptions, door prizes and transportation to more than a dozen shops.

     

    Participants will board a bus at 9 a.m. at University Club on Belknap Campus to begin shopping and return for a reception from 4-6 p.m.

     

    The tour is open to the public, but bus seating is limited and UofL faculty, staff, students and alumni will receive priority. Registration is required.
