Entrepreneurship in the Melting Pot

LIBA is all about indie biz, and we know that owning an independent business is a viable option for recent immigrants to make a living. Many of these businesses have become some of Louisville’s most iconic brands, like Kizito Cookies, Zen Garden, etc.

We have a panel of speakers who will share success stories, how immigrant businesses strengthen a neighborhood and the community overall, and ways that we can support these businesses.

PANELISTS

Elizabeth Kizito ~ Owner, Kizito Inc.

Edgardo Mansilla ~ Director, Americana World Community Center

Bryan Warren ~ Director, Office of Globalization for Louisville Forward

Mona Dejani ~ Business Advisor, Navigate Enterprise Center

David Oetken~ Director, RISE Louisville

MODERATOR

Cynthia Brown ~ Director, Navigate Enterprise Center

Lite breakfast items and coffee (provided by Kizito Inc.) will be served.
