What does it take to start a legal arts-based business? And, in this age of social media and the Internet, how can you protect your art work? Answers to these questions and many more will be offered in Art Inc. Kentucky's Artrepreneur Series Workshop - The Art of Creating a Legal Arts-Based Business. The workshop will be facilitated by local attorney Dana Cosby, COO and General Counsel for Nimbus, Inc., a Louisville-based strategic marketing and communications agency.

The workshop will present the A, B, C's of establishing a legally and financially sound arts-based business. Topics to be discussed include: Liability Protection, Intellectual Property Right Protection, Tax Considerations, Trade Names, Licenses and Permits, Website Terms and Conditions, Licensing Intellectual Property, Work for Hire, Employees and Independent Contractors and Avoiding Personal Liability.

This is the first of five classes. You can register for some or all. See https://www.keeplouisvilleweird.com/Upcoming-Events for the other classes.

Registration for this event is offered through LIBA but the event is run by Art Inc.
