As of December 2017, Etsy, an online marketplace that works as an intermediary between customers and artists, crafters of handmade items or collectors of vintage products, was among the top ten most popular retail websites in the United States. In 2017, Etsy had over 1.9 million active users and, as of Q2 2018, 175 million active buyers. The company's annual merchandise sales volume has been on a steady increase, rising from 170 thousand U.S. dollars in 2005 to 3.3 billion U.S. dollars in 2017.  In December 2016. a survey found that for 32 percent of Etsy sellers their creative business was their sole occupation. A further 32 percent of Etsy sellers had full-time employment elsewhere. How can a maker leverage the power of Etsy to help them reach their financial goals? Come hear how Jenni Waldrop used an Etsy shop to free herself from her corporate job. As a 6-figure seller of sarcastic home decor, she now teaches other women how to turn their crafts into full-time income on her blog, Fuzzy and Birch.

Registration for this event is offered through LIBA but the event is run by Art Inc.
