A Virtual LIBA Member Event via Hopin

Join us for a virtual speed networking event - LIBA style! This has been an extremely popular event in the past. Due to the pandemic this will be a new virtual event via Hopin. At our weird networking event, you will meet lots of LIBA members one-on-one from the comfort of your home or office!   (It is recommended to use a computer for this event.  Hopin does not support mobile devices.)

How Weird Networking Will Work:

• You will need to register in advance and get a ticket at the following link -https://hopin.to/events/weird-networking (Tickets are free.)
• On the day of the event you will login to Hopin (about an hour before the event you will get an email reminder with a link to go to the event) and join the event.
• Once you join the event you will be in a reception area.  Please join us in the Stage area (click on the Stage icon on the left) for a LIVE Welcome Message and Announcements.
• After the announcements, you will need to go to the Networking area (click on Networking icon on the left.) to join in on the Virtual Weird Networking experience.
• In the networking area you will click on the Ready button to connect with a fellow LIBA member.  (You can watch an attendee tutorial video at the following link -   https://hopin.to/learn)
• Each pair will have 4 minutes (2 minutes for each person to talk).  
• When the time is up you will leave the room and can then connect with a different LIBA Member.
• Make sure to hit the "Connect" button before you leave.  This acts as a virtual business card.  After the event each attendee will get a list of their connections from the event.

To prepare for this event (and all networking opportunities), we suggest you:

• Think about what you’re an expert in.
• Think about what you need help with.
• Use your time wisely.
• Be clear about who you are, what you do and how you could use help.
• Be curious about the other person.

Use WEIRD Questions if you get stuck. Here are some suggestions:

1. Weirdest place you have made a business connection.
2. Weirdest interview question either you have asked and been asked.
3. Weirdest marketing tip.
4. Weirdest business idea or strategy.
5. Weirdest experience related to your work.
