You Decide, Kentucky! Information Session

You Decide, Kentucky! (YDK!) is a coalition of Kentuckians seeking to strengthen our local communities for residents, businesses, and visitors alike.

Kentucky’s constitution limits local governments to only taxing workers, property, and business, which results in burdensome and uncompetitive tax codes.

Our mission is to empower citizens and local governments to decide what revenue streams will improve the quality of everyday life in their communities. We are focused on amending our state’s constitution, enabling the state legislature to give cities and counties across the Commonwealth more revenue tools.

As the educational force ensuring the successful passage of this statewide ballot referendum, YDK! needs your support. As we continue to grow and invest in measures to ensure a successful initiative, we are asking supporters to use their voice. Our request is for the Louisville Independent Business Alliance (LIBA) to provide a statement of endorsement for our initiative to educate Kentuckians on local revenue codes and the need for reform. Public support from others demonstrates confidence that our state is ready to take this step towards strengthening our communities and that it will be successful. It would go such a long way if LIBA would be willing to provide such an endorsement for YDK! to share with others.
