Medical professionals have touted the benefits of yoga for years. Often those who are interested aren’t sure how to begin a practice. At Wellness 360, we offer a Beginner Yoga workshop as a way to introduce the practice to newcomers.
In this four-week series, students will be introduced to the basics of starting a yoga practice. Along with learning common postures and how they are executed, the workshop includes spinal movement, breath work, class etiquette and a brief background of yoga.
Classes are taught in a nurturing and supportive environment. Participants are encouraged to ask questions and discover how to make the practice work to best suite their personal needs. Beyond how the postures look, an emphasis is placed on how yoga feels to the individual’s body.
All students are required to have their own mat. Mats are available for purchase here at the studio.
