Meet our Board Candidates
Rebecca Fleischaker - Louisville Downtown Partnership
"I am a strong proponent of the importance of locally owned businesses and the economic strength and authenticity they bring to a city. I would love to see more locally owned businesses in Downtown and want to support an ecosystem that helps make that possible."
Jeremy Gangloff - Bourke Accounting
"I have been at Bourke Accounting for over four years and for each of those years I have watched as we implemented our core values. By doing so, I was able to invest much of my time in the local community and part of that experience has been with LIBA. LIBA has been an incredible source for allowing Bourke Accounting to engage with the Louisville community and now I am grateful for a chance to serve on LIBA’s board. By being a board member, my goal is to invest time to focus on LIBA’s growth and planning with the intention that so many more individuals and businesses each year get the same opportunity I did to have a very positive experience in networking and engagement for all small businesses in the Louisville community."
Lauren Hendricks - Cambium Marketing (current board member, up for reelection)
"I wish to continue serving as a LIBA board member because I am passionate and dedicated to helping Louisville’s independent businesses grow. Local businesses are the heart of this city, and as Louisville continues to grow, our independent businesses must grow too. We must ensure that independent business have the same opportunity, support, resources and advocates, and these are all things LIBA provides independent businesses. It’s been an honor serving on LIBA’s board, but my time on the board doesn’t feel complete just yet. I’ve had the pleasure of being on our Executive Committee, which has allowed me to play a bigger role on our board and make a bigger difference. During my time as a LIBA board member we have accomplished much, but there is even more to be done, and I’m eager to stay involved to help LIBA do even more for our independent businesses."
Patrick T. Schmidt - Tilford Dobbins & Schmidt PLLC (current board member, up for reelection)
"As a native Louisvillian, I know our City is made stronger by a vibrant local business community and I want to help continue the growth of local businesses here. There is nothing better than keeping Louisville weird."
